This link below will allow you to download a patch for updating Touch Input on your Diamond2 and TP2.

Copy the file to your phone, preferably the SD card, since if you hard reset the phone will have to run the patch again.

I want to add that this patch will not change your version number.  I communicated with HTC about this and that was the answer.
